2019 HIFF Main Event:
Sep. 7th, 2019 at The Rialto Theater in Loveland, Colorado
We’re psyched to start off “Year One” in one of Northern Colorado’s oldest film venues during what will be its 100th Year in operation! The venue has undergone an incredible restoration after a storied history and the day will be packed with entertainment both at the venue and in the downtown area where it resides.
But that’s not all! There will be several more Official HIFF Events soon to be announced.
So raise your glasses and let’s drink to a growing film scene in NoCo!

Launch of the First Annual Horsetooth International Film Festival (HIFF)
LOVELAND, CO - The Horsetooth International Film Festival, entering its inaugural year, is a one-day event hosted in the heart of Northern Colorado, at the historic Rialto Theatre in Downtown Loveland. The focus of the festival is to further elevate and unite a growing local film scene by inviting international contributors to interact with the local filmmaking community for a full day of celebration, including several film categories, live musical performances, and art installations by local talents.
Inspiration for the festival is built around the desire to introduce Northern Colorado as a revered international destination where creativity, diversity, and progressive thought are developed and celebrated through the art of filmmaking and other forms of creative expression.
HIFF Mission
To inspire multi-passionate creatives, provide a platform for voices to be heard and stories to be told, to educate and build a more diverse community and spark positive change through knowledge-sharing and artistic works. When we come together in the spirit of collaboration and free creative expression, we broaden the potential for innovators all around the world.
HIFF was manifested as the necessary next step to develop and support NoCo’s budding film scene. It provides a platform of greater opportunity for filmmakers looking to take their works to a greater audience through interaction and collaboration with fellow creatives.

The HIFF Main Event is scheduled for September 7, 2019. Tickets sales will be announced in April.
Film submissions will open via the FilmFreeway.com platform in late March.
