Now that 2019 has come to a close, the Horsetooth International Film Festival team wants to give a little extra love to all sponsors, filmmakers, musicians, artists and volunteers who helped make HIFF a success in year one. We are so grateful for the support!
We’ve recently created and printed our FIRST Official HIFF Afterbook featuring event highlights from all three days of this year’s festival. It documents filmmakers, musicians, musical performances, award winners, special guests on the filmmakers’ panel, our 2019 sponsors, and our film-loving patrons who came to support the budding film scene in Northern Colorado.
One of our favorite parts of the festival was witnessing creatives from various aspects of the film industry come together to network and share ideas. Providing opportunity for creatives to network is especially important to us, because the HIFF Core Team is also a varying bunch of creatives who came together to build a festival. We know how powerful it can be when creatives team up and design the unexpected. As HIFF grows, we are excited to provide even more networking and collaboration opportunities.

Now Entering Regular Submission Deadline Window
Again, special thanks to everyone who shared and supported HIFF’s creative vision, bringing it from inspiration to execution in less than 9 months! It was quite a ride, and we are already deep into planning for HIFF 2020, taking place September 10-13th.
Last but not least...have a film to submit? The Early Bird Submission Deadline runs until Jan. 1, but if you couldn’t make the cut in time, you’ve got a few months to enter during our Regular Submission window beginning with the New Year and running until the end of April on our Film Freeway page . Don’t forget to check out the new and improved list of film categories.
